Foggy morning

We have been having the most lovely, British weather this summer. My husband took these photos from our apartment balcony, which happily overlooks a serene soybean field, rustic farm buildings, and distant trees. It is a treat to sit out on our little "porch" in the early morning, (decaf) coffee in hand, and enjoy the perfect temperatures. In the evenings, we can watch the fireflies blinking through the dusky shadows as the sun slips past the horizon...

Hi Laura,

We were watching your beautiful clothes on ebay. Unfortunately, we got too busy and missed the sale day. Abbie and I loved the pink jacket dress. They wouldn't fit me anymore, but I was thinking about my three, possible four, daughters. You have such beautiful taste in clothing and I know you make alot of what you wear, but I was wondering if you have suggestions for modest lovely clothing brands/sites/stores that you would recommend?Hope all is going well with the pregnancy! Hi Pam and Abbie,

Thanks for the kind comments! I know how hard it is to find beautiful clothing that is modest and not through-the-roof expensive. That's one reason why I got into sewing! I'm afraid I don't have too many recommendations as the places I buy from tend to be hit-or-miss.

They are not modest across the board, but they are feminine and I have found some nice things there. (The denim trumpet skirt I just sold on eBay came from Spiegel.)

I have not ordered from Christa Taylor myself, but it is a site I know of that targets younger girls and does place an emphasis on modesty and style.

Otherwise, you might try doing a Google search on "modest clothing" and see what you come up with! I hope that helps!
