My friend Charis bought me two vintage patterns at an antiques & collectors show she attended recently. I was surprised and touched because she doesn't sew, but she knows I like vintage patterns! This one's even in my size -- I quite like the 3/4-length sleeves and the double-breasted style.

That is a great pattern! What a find :)
Are pattern sizes the same as store-bought sizes? I know there is some difference with the childrens because I have some of my grandmothers patterns here that say a size 1 and they're a little big on my 18 month old daughter. But, what about adults clothes?
Hi Lynn -- good question! They are definitely different. I wear a vintage pattern size 16 or 18, modern pattern size 12 or 14, but in women's clothing I usually wear an 8! Confusing, huh! It's best to go with your measurements. On the back of the pattern you will find a measurements chart, with your corresponding size. I hope that helps!
