Ardmore Platinum

Douglas and I did a rather old-fashioned thing by registering for china before our wedding. Since each place setting comes with a teacup and saucer, I'm now blessed to have a beautiful tea service as well as elegant plates! It's a luxury to be able to savor a hot cup of tea (in this case, the perpetual favorite English Breakfast) on a cold winter's day.

Oo, lovely - very elegant. We also had a wedding registry, but our china is much less elegant than yours!

Very pretty! I don't understand why couples don't register for china anymore. Our family loves using our pretty dishes!

After a gazillion years of marriage we still have a few pieces of our original registry china. We used it so much - most every day..why save it for special occasions :o) - that the finish began to show signs of obvious wear.

Your china is beautiful!

I love my wedding china! I am also fortunate to have my great-grandmother's wedding china and my mom's wedding china, though I am giving my unmarried sister those! I live in a part of the country where most brides still register for true china, though I have seen a few in recent years who didn't. I'm always puzzled by that--it's so lovely to have.

PS I should have said this in the first place-your china is perfectly gorgeous!

Thanks, everyone! I should have mentioned how we picked this design -- Douglas and I each chose our top three favorites, and this one ended up being the only one that overlapped. :-)

Maybe registering for fine china isn't as passe as I thought -- I suppose it really depends on the couple.

How lovely! It's amazing how something beautiful can lift your spirits -- especially if it contains tea! ;-) I love the pattern you and Douglas picked.

Yours in Christ,
Shannon
