How beautiful! I love the top photo, especially. These photos make me think of when I lived in Montana.

Thank you, Aurora! I have to admit, if the pictures turn out well, it has more to do with the subject matter and the camera than the photographer, in this case. :) But I'm learning!

Hello, Erin! Yes, we occasionally have ice storms around here when the temperature is hovering right around freezing point -- not quite cold enough for snow but not warm enough to melt the rain, either. If you click on my blog archives for last December (2006) and January (2007), you will find a few photos I shared from ice storms last winter. It really is a beautiful sight to behold!

I too love the top photo especially. I try to take pictures like yours, in a white, natural light..... but they always come out blurry. :( Someday you'll have to share your secret with me. :) Blessings to you this Christmas season!

I went and had a look at your archives - from a girl who has only ever lived in warm climates (I think the coldest it has been is 15 celcius) it's pretty amazing to think you get storms like that every year.
And to think we get excited over a frost :). (though when I think about it I think I'd rather the warm weather - I'm definatly a summer girl)

Lynn, I get my share of blurry pictures, too... I think the "secret" is to take tons of photos and at least a few will turn out decently! ;)
