Spring

I am finding that spring in Indiana consists of a torturous weather cycle. The weather will show signs of warming up to glorious temperatures, reaching highs in the mid-60s, only to be followed by immediate rain, which brings things back down to near-freezing again. Sigh! I am trusting this won't last forever. ;-)

When I do get the chance to walk outside, I enjoy all the cheerful daffodils, hyacinths, and tulips that have bloomed in our neighborhood yards. Many trees are budding and the magnolias look especially beautiful right now. How is spring progressing in your neck of the woods?

That sounds similar to spring over here at the moment - we've had some glorious sunshine today (Easter Monday) and earlier on last week when it gets warm enough to go without a coat in the sun, and then a few days of rain (Good Friday and the rest of the Easter weekend) making things a bit chilly again. I just cannot decide whether to turn the heating off for the summer or leave it on for a bit longer!

The tree blossom is at its best at the moment, and the leaves are at that lovely early stage where you get a faint, very bright green haze in the distance when you drive down the lane.

Today is dismal and damp and cold. Last week it was beautiful for a few days and then it started to rain and steadily creep down to colder temperatures. The daffodils and tulips are up though, and we hope to get our garden planted this week, if the weather clears! :)

'twill soon be time to rake out the flowerbeds and take our annual "first signs of spring" walk, with the wagon in tow for collecting spring dainties. Spring is behind here; I am glad it waited for me this year!

Pretty much the same...Right now, it is raining outside with a temperature in the 30's.

I know Spring is here but it is yet to show itself completely :)

We are up and down as well, but made better by the fact that I brought in an armful of tulips, hyacinth and daffodils minutes ago. Today is a cool, breezy, cloudy day--I am eager for warmer weather!

That's how it's been here, too. Not really normal for this neck of the woods. It's warm today, and I'm wondering if the warmth is finally here to stay.
